    I'd just like to point out that http://www.dailykos.com/story/2007/12/28/8744/9666 is just a diary (not official Kos) and it only got 11 comments. Hardly anyone had a chance to read it before it scrolled off and it was posted at 7:32 AM my time. I've spent some time there because the format is interesting but it's dying quickly because they have too many trusted users troll rating posters. That's why the site is in trouble IMHO. My last account lasted about 6 hours, heh.

    Just FWIW, the googlebombing 'fix' that google performed only stops some types of googlebombs- those that use a phrase that doesn't appear in the page, like 'abysmal failure' pointing at a Bush biography. For pages like a critique of Liberal Fascism (which presumably would contain the phrase 'Liberal Fascism') it could work, presuming that more people linked to the critique page than to the real book.

    Exactly, Luis.

    The whitehouse site dropped because it does not contain those phrases. When the whitehouse did but miserable and/or failure on that page (from a press conference, I believe) it went to #1 immediately. So this bomb would be successful, if the words were on the page.

    Yes, since it obviously inverts what any fair-minded person would observe to be true. It's just trolling, really.

    Reality exists in the human mind, and nowhere else. Not in the individual mind, which can make mistakes, and in any case soon perishes: only in the mind of the Party, which is collective and immortal. Whatever the Party holds to be the truth, is truth. It is impossible to see reality except by looking through the eyes of the Party. That is the fact that you have got to relearn, Winston.

    I'm afraid you have an inaccuracy in your piece. The "Googlebomb" you refer to, which I do not in any way endorse, goes to my piece which actually praises the idea for Liberal Fascism, which had not come out at the time the piece was written, and even offered Jonah Goldberg help in writing it by harnessing the power of the Internet. Although Mr. Goldberg did not take me up on my very generous offer of help, the results of my experiment may were quite successful and may give future authors ideas for how they, too, can use the Internet to help them write their books. Your readers can click on my name for a link to my piece or copy and paste it from below and judge for themselves:
