UK Censors Tom & Jerry Cartoons

  • I am only disappointed that you have given UK regulators more ideas for regulating in your blog entry.
  • Exactly what I blogged recently: "If your children are watching Tom and Jerry, which do you think is more disturbing, the all pervasive violence, or the occasional, over-glamorized, puff of smoke? If either of those are disturbing to you, why don't you just change the goddamn channel like you would if a steamy scene came up, instead of blaming your lack of parental responsibility on the poor animator?"
  • I have an extreme dislike for characters smoking in TVs and in the movies. However, these are old cartoons and a product of their time. Old media content should not be edited, that's the way it was.
  • Well, I have to say I'm glad my tax dollars didn't go to Ofcom.

Jerry the mouse never looked like a smoker. Tom the cat though, hmmm, you could sense he would do anything to please a female cat, like light up.
  • I am a really big fan of tom and jerry and now i am doing a project on them in school and its kinda hard to find information on then i really need to know when there were created and where they were created if you could help me with this that would be great just email me the facts thanks...
    sinceraly,
    Samantha Henderson
