But, Tim, it'll be interesting to see what you think of Twitter. I had tried it a year ago and then dropped it, but picked it up again about 3 months ago, and found it to be useful in surprising and totally unexpected ways.
The thing that convinced me it was useful was watching the Iowa caucuses unfold via Twitter, with people at the actual caucuses reporting in, giving a much more accurate picture than CNN. It was fascinating.
Also, this weekend, watching the chatter about the Bear Stearns/JP Morgan deal was quite interesting.
It's also resulted in at least one random lunch meetup while I was in NY last month.
If you start to think about it as a sort of public/group chat, it becomes pretty neat.
