  • Good posting on AT&T's forbearance petitions, Hance. Seems like AT&T is spending millions to comply with reporting requirements that don't even really matter to regulators themselves anymore. I can't see who benefits from this (except perhaps the accountants).

    And the CLECs argument for existence gets weaker day by day as the ISP market gets more competitive. Of course the telcos would love to see wholesale price caps lifted. Can't blame them for wanting some taxpayer subsidies to build out service in relatively low=profit "underserved" areas. What do you think about the proposal to reform the current USF distribution system with a broadband incentive and advanced mobility fund?
