If you ever get a chance to watch the history of comic books on the History Channel, I highly recommend it.

Re: Sen. Here's a shot of reality. Young men are usually very aggressive at heart. Heathen, True Believer, doesn't matter. There's a reason why strong civilizations that have left legacies in human history like Greece, Rome, China, Japan, Babylon, Israel, Egypt, Sumaria, Britain, the United States (pre-Vietnam) and others celebrated and channeled the aggression. It was their most effective tool for defending themselves and projecting the power of their people and culture. To me, this increasing paranoia about young male aggression from people ranging from weakling school teachers to faux manly men like Senator Brownnoser (of the social conservative lobby) is a sign that our country is in decline. They've become deeply paranoid about the very instincts that make our young men able to form the most powerful army on Earth.
