  • Hope Walt Mossberg reams it too.
  • I hope you're not suggesting that Microsoft should instead induce users of its hardware to infringe copyright?

    That would be unconscionable.

Have a care for the poor, starving musicians that relying upon suspending the liberty of the public 70 years after they've died.

MS is simply ensuring the public's liberty is properly suspended.
  • Pogue's review is spot-on. Curious if the Zune is gonna be a hit — I have my doubts with regards to the new DRM format and how it's sooo not PlaysForSure compatible.

  • ***So now Microsoft is starting over. Never mind all the poor slobs who bought big PlaysForSure music collections. Never mind the PlaysForSure companies who now find themselves competing with their former leader. Their reward for buying into Microsoft's original vision? A great big "So long, suckas!"***

PlaysForSure DRM users can stick with their existing music players. Its not like MSFT is making PlaysForSure songs self-destruct.
