The Patent system is way out of control, especially in USA.<br><br>I'd recommend the book "Steal this Idea" by Michael Perelman, for starters for those who are interested in this subject.<br><br>Esp. interesting is his showing how radio got of the ground as a consumer product due to compulsory licensing of many patents.
