The Patent system is way out of control, especially in USA.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;I'd recommend the book "Steal this Idea" by Michael Perelman, for starters for those who are interested in this subject.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Esp. interesting is his showing how radio got of the ground as a consumer product due to compulsory licensing of many patents.  Really counters the conventional wisdom that Patents foster innovation, esp as administered by the USPTO.</description><dc:creator xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">eee_eff</dc:creator><pubDate>Wed, 21 Dec 2005 19:13:41 -0000</pubDate></item></channel></rss>
