The Ugliness of Privacy Notices
I'd recommend the book "Steal this Idea" by Michael Perelman, for starters for those who are interested in this subject.
Esp. interesting is his showing how radio got of the ground as a consumer product due to compulsory licensing of many patents. Really counters the conventional wisdom that Patents foster innovation, esp as administered by the USPTO.
