  • Exhibit 3 says US internet ad spending was $16.9 bn in 2006. And exhibit 5 says worldwide internet ad spending was $16.9 bn in the same year.

    Can we conclude that in 2006, no-one outside the USA spent and money on internet ads?
  • Sorry, that chart was misleading. I should not have said "worldwide" first since that leads to the perception that it was for ALL Internet companies globally. Instead, it is for the total advertising for U.S.-based companies worldwide advertising. There is a big difference, of course. So, I just took the word "worldwide" out of the chart title for Exhibit 3. Thanks for catching that.
