  • And, as I recall (too lazy to search), there was a report out not too long ago that suggested that most people just don't use most of their MP3 player storage.
  • i've seen this kind of logic from the RIAA over and over again. they just do not accept that the CD you purchased 10 years ago can somehow impact new sales. btw, here's how mine broke down :

    total space = 60 GB
    free space = 54.98%
    ripped CDs** = 40.27%
    purchased downloads* = 4.75%

    * these are not all iTunes downloads, i have used other purchased download sites and have aggrated the totals.

    ** this total also includes legal free downloads, such as from amazon music, or direct downloads from artist sites.
  • Wow. That's really interesting. I didn't know that.
  • Most of mine are either ripped from CD or are legal downloads from independent artist websites.
