Technology Liberation Front: Hitting the Reset Button after an Info-Free Vacation

I've found that taking 15 minutes per vacation day is not a detriment to family time and avoids the feeling of drowning when you return -- I power through my feeds and star ones I want to return to. Delete emails I don't want and plan to return to necessary ones when I get back.

When I went on vacation and didn't have access to email or whatever for more than a couple of days, I usually just deleted en masse everything that came in, except for emails from my bank/billpay. I'd go thru the snail mail, trash EVERYTHING except bills, etc. Not once have I gotten stung doing this.

Also, you need to discover a thing called "Vacation Hold" for your newspapers!
