Agreed.
And both of your ideas — certain cell-phone-enabled / disabled flights and in-flight lounges — are excellent solutions. You should push them.
But the idea of using bathrooms as cell phone lounges is horrific.... both for the users and for those waiting frustrated outside the door, dying to take a leak, while some biz jerk gets down to business (so to speak) inside...
