  • "Spotty" is a very inappropriately nice way of putting it. Unless the man is an agent provocateur for libertarianism, he's the sort of VP that should make most libertarians shake their heads at Obama as a serious candidate.
  • I agree Mike, I was too nice. I should say "abysmal" or "horrible" in regards to Biden's record.
  • Tech policy obviously isn't very important to Obama or he couldn't have chosen Biden to be his running mate. So it's as I suspected, the Obama campaign got Lessig and Danny Weitzner to write a tech policy they don't intend to implement.

    OUCH
    * Surveillance legislation by Biden inspired Phil Zimmermann to write PGP (Pretty Good Privacy), an encryption program
    * Biden wrote an early precursor to the USA PATRIOT Act
    * Posting the anarchist cookbook online is now a felony thanks to Biden, resulting in a single conviction of a 20 year-old webmaster
Recall though that it's easy to get a copy on P2P networks. I'll probably download a copy and post on wikileaks, or on my blog.
    * Biden proposed spending $1 billion so cops could police P2P networks
